Computer Engineering vs Mechanical Engineering

Sometimes i just can’t fathom how could we end up with computer available today. 50 years ago computer was made up of simple set of logic gates. Today we end up with what can only be explained as Electrical wizardry.

Computer engineering can shrink things from metre to nanometre in mere 50 years. Mechanical engineering has been around for at least hundreds of years and we still stuck at milimetre. Come on Mechanical engineers, we can do better than that.
